It is so easy to gorge on social media and not remember to exercise to keep our brain fit - so here are 3 quick tips to keep the social mind strong this week
- Do you warm up your mind each morning? You wouldn't dream of going for a run without a warm up so why run a meeting without one? Grab a paperclip and take it round the table asking for different silly ideas of what it could be used for....a polevault for an ant!
- Do you stretch ideas? It is so easy to find a compromise that dilutes an idea...but what about stretching it beyond what is initially though of? Take it to extremes....it is much better to stretch an idea and bring it back to something commercial...then take a compromise of a safe idea?
- Do you hydrate yourself, your team and your customers? Do you feed their minds with healthy social media......anybody can dish out junk social media, but how healthy is your social marketing or internal social interactions....? Does it ask for action, does it give people a way of doing something? Does it ask for contribution?
- Finally, do you warm down at the end of the day by making a list of things that are urgent tomorrow, that are based on strategic goals, that are about hydrating your team, your customers, your suppliers? Do you write down one valuable lesson you learned today?
