Learn From Oscar Wilde on Talent Management

Oscar Wilde once said

"To paint what you see is a good rule in art, but to see what is worth painting is better"

I think believe this quote can be equated to business and talent management.

"To recruit talent is a good rule…but to see what talent is worth recruiting is better"

Business never stands still, it continually evolves. Therefore you need to evolve the talent

  1. By continually stretching the talent within your organisation. Expand their experience, expand their skills, expand their thinking.
  2. By making coaching a central tenet of all managers and leaders…not delegated to HR.
  3. By constantly reading and learning to look for future trends, for talent that is writing about the trends, for talent that it creating the trends….and engaging them with your brand early.
