Augmented reality is one of those phrases that seems so....well...mm... technical. It appears to
step from an Arthur. C. Clarke novel.
Now with Google Glasses one could fall into the trap of believing that technology itself 'augments reality'.
But as with social media, it is important to remember all marketing in business is about augmenting the reality of the customer world.
Therefore let us not get carried away with technology in business, let us
- What will provide value to the customer experience or to the life of the consumer?
- How can technology help to deliver that?
- Keep the focus on the customer not the technology?
In order to do that you need to be reviewing technology news and foreseeing the emergence of future technology....
You also need to be close to your customer and the customer experience of their lives.
Your role in business is to marry the two...
because that then is truly augmenting reality.
