What is Profit?

When I qualified as a Chartered Accountant, my Dad told me….

"Never forget that the definition of profit is an outcome of leadership, not a goal in itself.

To understand profitability you need to understand that profit is the difference between promises delivered and promises made.

To become more profitable…delivery more than you promise to your people, your customers, your market"

What is a profit
It was for that reason that I was always a Finance and HR Director because employee engagement is a key driver for brand loyalty. You can only deliver promises made to your market by delivering on your promises to your team.

Business at it's heart is simply about humanity. Being human, seeing employees and customers as humans and making your brand reflect humanity.
