4 Stages of Customer Engagement

CustomersBusiness often see customer engagement as a one off thing – but engagement is part of the customer journey.

Customer's pass through stages of the purchase cycle and engagement needs to occur at all parts of this customer experience.

There are two key engagement tips that I always encourage

  1. Have a look at the 4 stages of the sales cycle – do you have engagement strategies in place for all 4?
  2. When you are on social media – or any other part of your marketing strategy – are you aware of your business goal? 

Too many brands take a general approach – not wanting to focus their marketing at one specific set of people, the result is that the general approach engages no one.

When thinking about social marketing…think about which type of engagement will work at which point in the sales cycle……and develop marketing plans for all four.
